I started J.E.Newton Realty Ltd.  almost 5 years ago, not as a" discount  brokerage" but as a "realistic brokerage". I have been a Broker for over 25 years and in that time I have seen property values soar and yet commission rates never seemed to change. Now with the HST tax added to commissions, the cost to home owners has passed the ridiculous point.
